Venue

Situated right on the banks of the Aare, the Landhaus combines historic architecture with modern facilities – making it ideal for seminars, conferences and special events. The present-day Landhaus was built in 1722/23 to plans drawn up by the town lieutenant Franz Brunner. For centuries, the Landhaus formed the hub of river transport on the Aare, goods handling and trade in the city of Solothurn. Perhaps it is this history that makes the Landhaus so fascinating for large events today. The rooms of the Landhaus, one of the largest venues in the old town, offer a wealth of possibilities: the Grand Landhaus Hall, the Columned Hall, the Municipal Council Chamber, the seminar room and the two foyers all impress with their natural light and magnificent views.
