딤티히탈(Diemtigtal) 계곡은 웅장한 전원주택으로 유명한데, 딤티히탈 하우스 트레일 이정표를 따라 걷다 보면 그중에서도 독보적인 건축물을 감상할 수 있다. 특히 그 디테일이 놀랍다. 정교한 조각, 섬세한 그림, 거대한 지붕 아래 목조 외관을 장식하는 형태와 색채의 아름다운 구성이 인상적이다.
The most beautiful homesteads are located at the entrance to the valley, around Diemtigen, and bear witness to an age when livestock farming brought great wealth. The houses are often widely scattered, a tradition that continues to this day – and which won the municipality of Diemtigen the Wakker Prize for architectural conservation in 1986. Visit in summer, when residents adorn their homes with window boxes, and their famously ornate gardens reveal all their flower-filled glory.
Besides the way through the anterior valley (Oey-Diemtigen-Oey) two additional theme paths lead through the central (Horboden - Rothbad - Horboden) and posterior (Zwischenflüh - Schwenden - Tiermatti) valley.
Today, you can marvel at the traditional building style and incredibly impressive farmhouses at your own leisurely pace by e-bike. Two flyers will be available from the Diemtigtal Nature Park Office from spring 2018. The tourist office can arrange two additional e-bikes for you if you let them know in good time. You can also do the tour on your own e-bike or on a normal bike. You can get information about the tour from the Diemtigtal Tourist & Nature Park Office.
