The personally managed Waldhotel Davos is situated in a unique and quiet location and offers a unique panoramic view of Davos and the surrounding mountain peaks. With its 46 stylish rooms - including ten luxurious panoramic double rooms and suites newly built in 2012 by the prominent Swiss architect team Pia Schmid and Hans-Jörg Ruch, the wellness centre with heated indoor pool and fitness room and the Atrium restaurant under the direction of the renowned chef Steve Birnbaum, as well as the EON banqueting area with walk-in wine cellar, the four-star superior hotel is an oasis of relaxation. A seminar area and the popular Ignis Bar & Lounge with an open fireplace round off the top-class facilities. The hotel, steeped in history and run as a forest sanatorium until 1957, was the model for the world-famous novel "The Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann.
