This historic hotel dating from the 17th century is located in the pretty village of Sonceboz on the "Watchmakers' Road" from Biel/Bienne to La Chaux-de-Fonds. It offers quiet, comfortable rooms. The Hôtel du Cerf is especially renowned for its outstanding cuisine. Jean-Marc Soldati and Christian Albrecht have won many awards with their market-fresh delicacies, including 16 Gault Millau points and 1 Michelin star. Pleasant terrace, large banqueting and conference hall for 10 to 100 persons.

House of character, 10 minutes from Biel. Friendly atmosphere. Pleasant terrace. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Conference and banquet room for 10 to 100 people. Delicious cuisine (16/20 Gault/Millau. * Michelin). How to get there: Sonceboz is easy to reach by car: Biel-Bienne (15 minutes), St-Imier (25 minutes), Tavannes (5 minutes). The hotel's restaurant is a 5-minute walk from the train station. Extra bed CHF 30.- per night. Surcharge for dog CHF 8.- per day.

Even if the oldest written records of the Hôtel du Cerf date from the late 19th century, the building is known to be much older than that, with roots going back to the 17th century.

The proprietors took a conservative approach to the building's renovation and went out of their way to preserve its authenticity.

This is much the same philosophy, incidentally, as that they bring to bear when buying ingredients for their excellent cuisine.
