A whole world of experiences: the hotel and cultural centre Der Teufelhof Basel is in the heart of the Old Town. In a number of historic buildings, all linked together, visitors will find an amazing array of services: the Kunsthotel, Galeriehotel, gourmet restaurant Bel Etage, restaurant Atelier, café, bar, theatre and wine shop together offer a unique voyage of discovery through the worlds of gastronomy and art. And most of Basel's 38 museums and many galleries are just around the corner.

We attach great importance to sustainable enjoyment, which is why we have created our own 12-meter-long herb bed in the courtyard garden and frequently use ProSpecieRara products to prepare our dishes.

The architects Herzog & de Meuron are world-renowned. Their most significant edifices include the Tate Modern in London and the Olympic Stadium in Beijing.

The Congress Center Basel is Switzerland's biggest congress centre in terms of surface area. Located directly alongside Messe Basel, it is in the immediate vicinity of a large number of hotels and a varied range of restaurants. A footbridge provides a direct link to the new exhibition building designed by Herzog & de Meuron, increasing visitor comfort still further and makes modern congress infrastructure exceedingly attractive. The 25 modern-rooms are noted for their multifunctionality and variable configurations and hold up to 10'000 people.

The Schützenhaus restaurant is one of the most traditional restaurants in the region. Older Basel residents go into raptures when they talk about the "Schützenhaus".

The Safran Zunft restaurant has many generations of influential spice traders and grocers, who’ve been meeting up here since the 14th century, to thank for its magnificent rooms. Despite this momentous heritage, the restaurant is not a bit old-fashioned. The cooking is modern and the service is refreshingly friendly.

With the new construction of the exhibition center through the Basel-based Herzog & de Meuron star architects, Basel has a new architectonic landmark. And in the context of a guided tour, visitors are able to view the diverse buildings of this impressive exhibition center.
