A former monastery set in the Thur landscape and just a few minutes away from Frauenfeld and Lake Constance. 68 hotel rooms in a simple, modern atmosphere ensure a pleasant night's sleep. The restaurant and farm shop sell products grown on the premises: baked goods, flowers, meat, vegetables, cheese, wine and trout from the hotel's farm. A romantic wedding in a historic setting - Kartause Ittingen is a unique wedding location.
The former monastery complex forms a dreamlike backdrop for the big celebration. The magnificent gardens and beautiful banqueting halls offer space for parties of ten to 250 people. The large selection of Ittingen culinary delights, combined with attentive service, make a wedding event an unforgettable experience for the bride and groom and their guests.
The great advantage: from the free or civil wedding ceremony, to the aperitif, the photo shoots, the wedding banquet with overnight stay, to the joint breakfast, everything can take place here, in one place.

Hospitality, education and encounters, welfare care, self-sufficiency, spirituality, cultural furtherance: these are the central values of the monastic history of the Charterhouse Ittingen. Hospitality was always one of the fundamental values of the charterhouse and still is today. The historical interior with its wonderful atmosphere provide the stylish background.
Culinary specialities can be enjoyed in the dignified and yet cosy restaurant, in the stylish atmosphere of the function rooms and in the secluded garden restaurant. Many of these, even the choice wines and spirits, emanate from sources of own production.
All cancellations of reservations must be made in written form.
In order to be free of charge, the cancellation of the room reservation has to be made until 6 pm, 3 days
prior to your arrival date. In case of later cancellation we will charge the full amount of your booked stay.
This also applies in case of any shortening of your booking, late arrival or early departure.
The reservation of special rates / non refundable rates through the online-reservation system of Kartause
Ittingen or other online-booking platforms is only possible with a valid credit card. Your credit card will be
charged at the time of your booking. Cancellation or modification is not possible.

Arrival by air: Zurich International Airport, 40 km by rail or on the motorway to Frauenfeld.
Arrival by car: A1 and A7 motorway connections Zurich-Winterthur-Romanshorn; junction exit 'Frauenfeld West'. The road is signposted and the charterhouse is 4 km distant.
Arrival by public transport: SBB Railway Station Frauenfeld. Regular postal bus and PubliCar services Frauenfeld Railway Station.
