Intro

In winter, the Bundesplatz is transformed into an ice skating paradise.

The artificial ice rink against the unique backdrop of the Swiss parliament building is a popular venue for locals and visitors: every year, thousands of visitors lace up their ice skates and practise their curves on the 600m2 illuminated rink. The ice rink restaurant is ideal for warming up cold toes and serves ice skaters mulled wine and fondue. Admission is free of charge. Ice skates are available for hire at the venue.
