Laax is located in the southeast of Switzerland in the canton of Graubünden. Together with Flims and Falera, Laax is one of the largest winter sports areas in Switzerland. The location on a sunny plateau, the mountain lakes and the Rhine Gorge make the mountain village a popular travel and holiday destination.

A magnificent backdrop with Vorab glacier, Laaxerstöckli and Tschingelhörnern surrounds the village of Laax. You will enjoy the peace and fresh mountain air on your tour. Past chalets, shops and restaurants you come to Lake Laax, a popular meeting place for Baden or pedal boating in summer. Winter sports area Flims Laax Falera

Over 200 kilometres of slopes and a large selection of ski lifts: The Galaaxy mountain station is considered the hub of the Laax ski and freeride area. From here it goes in two stages to the Vorab glacier at 3000 meters. Freestyle fans come for the snow parks for every level and the world's largest halfpipe on the Crap Sogn Gion.

Lake Cauma and Rhine Gorge

Laax means "lakes" in Romansh. One of the most beautiful, Lake Cauma, can be reached through the Flimserwald. In summer you can refresh yourself in the turquoise blue water, in winter you can enjoy the peace and quiet (Rhaeto-Romanic Cauma). Not far away is the Rhine Gorge, known as the Swiss Grand Canyon. Along this spectacular landscape you will find hiking trails, bike trails and great viewpoints: The platform "Il Spir" in the shape of a swift rises over the gorge on only one pillar.

Around Laax

Marvel at the glacier mills on Alp Mora above Trin or the confluence of the Anterior and Posterior Rhine in Reichenau. A guided snowshoe tour through the UNESCO World Heritage Sardona is eventful, on which you will learn exciting facts about mountain formation.
