Hotel Engel is a modern four-star banquet seminar hotel with tradition that harks back as far as the 17th century. The hotel and its restaurant lie in the heart of the picturesque town of Liestal in the glorious canton of Baselland. The large terrace affords a wonderful view of the “Törli” town gate. The railway station and Liestal cantonal hospital are only a few minutes away. The centre of Basel with its many museums, cultural events and exhibition grounds can be reached in ten minutes by train or in 15 minutes by motorway. Alongside the hotel itself, Hotel Engel – boasting a big hall with stage, the foyer and seven other halls and rooms – also specialises in events such as seminars, banquets, drinks receptions, weddings, family parties, corporate events and as well as offering special rates for sports team events.

The spacious foyer offers space for coffee breaks and group work (2-8 people). The "Baselbieter Stübli" and a separate part of the restaurant can be used as banquet rooms.
