Intro

The Sauriermuseum Frick is the only museum in Switzerland to display a complete skeleton of the dinosaur Plateosaurus, in addition to numerous other original bone finds.

The Sauriermuseum Frick is the only museum in Switzerland to display a complete skeleton of the dinosaur Plateosaurus, in addition to numerous other original bone finds. The approximately 200 million year old dinosaur bones are recovered from a clay pit in Frick. In addition to the remains of the first predatory dinosaur (Notatesseraeraptor frickensis) in Switzerland and many other fossils, a film about the exciting story of the discovery of the Frick dinosaurs can also be seen. Those who want to know more after the museum visit can walk along the dinosaur nature trail, which leads from the dinosaur museum to a fossil knocking place, where you can look for fossils yourself at any time. Eight information panels along the trail provide information about the discovery, life and extinction of dinosaurs.
